WMPSSDL Meet Information

January 29th

Ryken Swim Team:

The bus is currently scheduled to leave the school at 12:45.   I will be sending out an email tomorrow regarding food on the way up.  The bus will drop us at the pool and then the bus will no longer be available.   

VOLUNTEERS

We are still in need of many volunteers including timers, dive personnel, and deck personnel. Please send the link below to your families and encourage them to volunteer! They get a "front row seat" to the action!

Volunteer positions for Finals will open at the conclusion of Friday's Prelims.

SENIOR PARADE

Prior to the start of finals there will be a Senior Parade to recognize all Seniors in the league - divers and swimmers! Seniors should be on deck in the entry vestibule (entry area behind the diving boards) and ready for the parade by 5:00 pm.

Coaches should inform all their Seniors of the parade and complete the Senior form (https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:73390803-9261-4f7f-aabd-86ab6e97ba14) and return it to Chris Ros ([email protected]) by Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Schedule of events:

 SNOW POLICY: Should there be severe weather on Friday or Saturday, all efforts will be made to conduct the meet as a timed-finals event with diving on either Saturday or Sunday of that weekend. The decision to cancel or postpone will be made by the Meet Director and posted on the WMPSSDL website at www.wmpssdl.org.

SPECTATORS: Doors to spectator seating will open 45 minutes prior to the start of both prelims sessions (3:45pm Friday and 6:45am Saturday). Doors will open for finals at 4:30pm Saturday. ALL spectators will be charged an entrance fee of $10 plus a $1 processing fee. NO cash will be accepted. If you pay for prelims AND keep your wristband, you will be allowed admittance to any session. Finals only spectators must still pay the admission fee. If possible, attendees should pre-pay, though QR codes will be available onsite. Pre-pay via the Ticket Spicket website - https://events.ticketspicket.com/agency/99d6aa4f-... Spectators may only bring in a refillable water bottle (see concessions information below). 

GENERAL PARKING INFO: Univ. of Maryland’s parking map: https://events.ticketspicket.com/agency/99d6aa4f-... Please consult the map and lot signage when seeking to park anywhere not listed. Parking is strictly enforced. 

CAR/VAN PARKING: Friday – ALL parking will be paid parking before 4pm. There is NO free parking until 4pm anywhere on campus. 12 passenger vans or smaller vehicles may park in metered spaces or pay for parking in Stadium Drive Garage. Spectators arriving at or after 4pm may park in Terrapin Trail Garage, Lot 1 or Lot 11 for free. Saturday – Free parking is available in Lot 1 ONLY due to other events on the UMD campus. Paid parking is also available in Stadium Drive Garage for 12 passenger vans or smaller vehicles. 

MEET PROGRAM: Meet programs will be accessible on Meet Mobile. Paper programs for spectators will not be available. 

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be offered by the University of Maryland over the course of the meet. Spectators, as a result, may only bring in a refillable water bottle and no other drink or food.
